The ‘Barnabas in Israel’ Project

16 March 2009 494 views No Comment

Anita will be sending out a prayer letter at or soon after the end of March, but for now here is a brief outline of news and prayer needs, to help you in your prayers for her work.

Anita has been busy since she arrived in Arad early in January, establishing herself in terms of accommodation, and relationships with those involved in the project she is working on, setting up a team there, meeting those with experience and knowledge of education in Israel and among the Bedouin, and developing relationships with the Bedouin families themselves. She has been undertaking thorough research into education of various kinds, and establishing a network of contacts.

She has bought a car, settled into a flat, and obtained internet access.

She is learning Hebrew and Arabic.

Anita will return from this initial three month visit on April 1st. and be in England for a few weeks.  She is on a visitor’s visa which means she has to come out every three months and then re-enter on a similar visa.

The Israel Team (U.K.) meets, with Anita, on April 7th.

Please pray –

  • For all those involved in England and Israel to seek the will of God and act on it.
  • For the Church in Arad, for unity and joy among the believers there.
  • For Anita’s health, well-being and focus.
  • For important meetings of the Team in Israel with local Bedouin tribal leaders.

Many thanks – your prayers are much valued and totally indispensable!
